Increase of Caffeine Intakes

October will end soon. I think I did well this month on balancing my sanity. Things are quite hectic at the moment as I need to catch up on my studies for the upcoming Line Training with Air Asia, while at the same time I need to improve my sleeping quality, recover myself from this flu I'm currently having, maintain a good life, express my need of making art, and basically live life happily. Bb has also started his training at Citilink, which adds some distance now that we're both busy with our schedules, but hey! thank God for Skype and LINE video calls.

I've been observing some flights these past few weeks and, boy, am I exhausted. I didn't even do much the entire flights: listening to some information from the ATIS frequency, do some fuel logging, filling in the FMGC information, jot down some notes I might need for my training, and eat to keep myself alive.

My caffeine intakes increase because I now drink coffee because I need to keep my eyes open, not because I buy it for the sake of having a hedonistic life style. I am down for any kind of coffee, as long as there's milk and sugar in it, but the ones I've been having are these canned goodness. I'm not that picky in terms of settling which flavor to choose, but I usually go for the Original. Very simple, creamy, bitter, and slightly sweet latte. The Mocha one is good too, but it's rather thick and the chocolaty sweetness is quite meh for my liking.

Caramelicious

My fellow comrade, who happens to love food and beverages like I do, saw a blog post of mine regarding Nescafe's French Vanilla flavored coffee. He told me about how Nescafe's Caramelicious is more delicious compared to the French Vanilla. "There are three varieties of flavor," he said, "and my favorite is the Caramelicious. It has been accompanying me ever since I continued my studies in Bandung, up until now.". He promised to buy one for me to taste, and he kept his promise.

Yesterday, I received the coffee carton. It was red in color, with eye-catching writings of "Nescafe" and "Caramelicious" written on it. "It's best if you drink it when it's cold because it tastes more bitter when it's in room temperature," he said whilst giving me the promised item.

It was at around 10 PM when I received the coffee. Drinking coffee at night makes me all fidgety and anxious, not to mention trouble in falling asleep and messy bowel movement in the morning, so I kept it in my food cabinet here in my barrack and saved it for breakfast this morning.

The coffee was not cold, but I drank it nonetheless. True, what my friend said, about the drink tastes more bitter when it's in room temperature. But, it didn't lessen the delicious sweet caramel flavor. It was not as creamy as the French Vanilla - in fact, it tasted a wee bit like a cup of coffee with too much watter in it, all bitter and slightly flavorless - but I enjoyed every sip of it.

All in all, Nescafe's Caramelicious would definitely complete your daily dose of caramel needs with its' combination of sweet and bitter flavor. Yet, if I have to choose between French Vanilla or Caramelicious, I would definitely go for the French Vanilla because I like it better than this one.

P.S. Thank you for the treat, Ressa! I'm looking forward to taste another favorite drink of yours. :D

Vanilla Surprise

I was sitting at the duty office with my fellow duty cadets last night when he popped out from behind the wall and gave a waving gesture with his hand telling me to come to him. "Who, me," I asked inaudible, pointing my finger to my face. He nodded in agreemet.

"What's up," I asked him. Whilst smiling, he handed me a pocket size carton of Nescafe, French Vanilla flavor. Overwhelmed by the fact that I received something unexpected, I made sure that the latte was actually for me. Still smiling, he said, "It's for your night shift duty tonight," then he turned and headed to his barrack.

"Wait," I shouted.

He stopped and turned back to me. "Did you just go all the way up here just to give me this coffee," I asked, which was then replied with a "Yup!" and "Best of luck with your night shift." And just that, he waved goodbye and went back to his barrack, leaving me with a carton of latte on my hand and a big smile on my face. :)
